Rawlins, a town in Wyoming's Carbon County, rightly prides itself on being a major western adventure destination.

Rawlins visitors can fish for rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout, hunt elk, backpack and hike, camp, picnic, fish, boat, ski, snowmobile hundreds of miles of groomed trails, rub shoulders with real cowboys and cowgirls at a rodeo, view and photograph wildlife, bird watch, visit national monuments and historical sights, go horseback riding, sightsee and more.
Geology buffs make tracks to the Continental Divide running the length of Carbon County. Yellowstone National Park is only 6 or so hours away, and Rocky Mountain National Park is about half that distance.
