| | Lewis County Historical Museum - Local | | The museum depicts the early settlements and pioneer life in Lewis County, one of the first areas settled in the region and the oldest county in Washington State. The main gallery is dedicated to exhibits reflecting the railroad station, turn-of-the-century Victorian parlor, barber shop, kitchen, and temporary exhibits. Permanent exhibits include a Native American display of Cowlitz and Chehalis tribal material, a blacksmith shop, and a second-hand store dating from the early 1900s. A children's hands-on exhibit area features a mercantile store, old time kitchen, and an activity table. Other displays reflect the predominance of the logging, and a model railroad is currently being constructed. |

The Olympic Flight Museum was founded with the goal of bringing people together to relive, recollect and learn about aviation history. Some of the aircraft displays that can be seen at the museum are BAE Lightning, T-28 Trojan and T-37B Tweety Bird. |

Visitors learn about the establishment of Washington's state capital and the construction of the imposing capitol building in the exhibit Olympia: Her Present, Proud Position. Featuring two floors of exhibits, the museum offers interpretations of regional Native American history and a series of interesting temporary exhibits. The gardens surrounding the museum mansion feature a sample of native Northwest plants in the ethno botanical garden. The museum store features a nice selection of Northwest products and gifts. |
