Wenberg State Park is a 46-acre camping park with 1,140 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Goodwin in Snohomish County. The park offers good fishing and a variety of other water activities. Located north of Seattle, the park provides urbanites weekend access to forested recreation without the necessity of lengthy travel. The park has two boat ramps and 20 feet of handling dock. The state acquired the land in a series of five parcels over time from public and private sources. The park was originally a Snohomish County park. Besides the water activities it is popular to view the wildlife here. Bird watching is especially popular with the mix of forest and ocean birds together. Such birds include crows, ravens, ducks, eagles, geese, gulls, hawks, herons, hummingbirds, jays, woodpeckers, and wrens.
