War Creek Campground

War Creek Campground is in an old growth pine forest setting on Twisp River. Fish and swim in the river. Supplies available at Twisp. Deer, bears and birds are common to the area. Campers may gather firewood. Horse ramp at the campground. A trail extends from the campground to forest route 100, approximately 6 miles in length. There are a total of 10 sites with a maximum spur of 22 feet.

Facilities: War Creek Campground provides restrooms and a horse ramp.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted for War Creek Campground.

Best Time To Visit: War Creek Campground is open April through November.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The maximum stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach War Creek Campground from Okanogan, start out going southeast on Norman Street for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto WA-215 for 0.1 miles. Continue onto WA-215 for 0.9 miles. Continue onto WA-20 for 31.2 miles. Turn left onto Twisp River Road for less than 0.1 miles. From Twisp, go west on primary forest route 44 approximately 12 miles.
