Tumwater Campground is set in a mixed forest setting in Tumwater Canyon on the Wentachee River. Fish and swim in the creek. Supplies are available at Leavenworth. Deer, bears and birds are common to the area. Campers may gather firewood. Hiking and horseback riding in the nearby Alpine Lakes Wilderness. There are a total of 85 sites with a maximum spur of 36 feet.
