Suquamish Museum has inhabitants of Puget Sound for over 15,000 years, the Suquamish document their history through legends and song. Visitors can experience walking the nature trail or peaceful beach. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking Agate Pass. The museum guide will direct visitors to other points of interest on the Port Madison Indian Reservation, including Chief Seattle's grave, Ole-Man-House, Salmon Hatchery, story poles, more. The most current exhibit is "Old-Man-House, the People, and Their Way of Life at D'Suq'Wub". This exhibit gives the visitor a look into the traditional ways of living for the first people of this area and their village at D'Suq'Wub, meaning place of the clear salt water. The exhibit premiered in 1989, during Washington State's centennial celebration.
