A valid Washington state fishing license is needed to fish within the National Forest. Directions: To reach South Skookum Lake from Spokane, start out going north on North Lincoln Street toward West Main Street for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto West Main Street for 0.6 miles. Turn left onto US-2 East and continue to follow for 46.9 miles. From Newport follow state Route 20 to Cusick. The lake is only 6.6 miles northeast from Cusick. It is also approximately 69 miles Northeast of Spokane off County Road 9325 and only 22 miles Northeast of Newport. |
