Schaefer Creek Campground is set in a mixed conifer forest setting on the Chiwawa River. Fish in the river. Supplies available at Plain. Wildlife in this area includes black bears and deer. Campers may gather firewood. Trailhead from campground for hiking and horseback riding into the Glacier Peak Wilderness. There are a total of 10 sites with a maximum spur of 30 feet.
