Riverside State Park is a 10,000-acre camping park along the Spokane and Little Spokane rivers in Eastern Washington. The park supports a wide variety of recreational activities and is rich in history. Freshwater marshes, running rivers and beautiful countryside make up the terrain. The park offers one kitchen shelter with electricity and two without electricity, plus 10 sheltered and 122 unsheltered picnic tables. This park features a 600-acre off-road vehicle riding area for dirt bikes and snowmobiles, as well as 37 miles of hiking along the Centennial Trail and many more miles on other trails. Horseback riding and bicycling are possible in the park, along with all manner of watersport activity. Interpretive programs invite exploration of the region's history. This is a large park with several natural areas abundant with wildlife. The park has a boat ramp and 60 feet of dock. The Little Spokane River is restricted to kayaks, canoes and rafts. Innertubes are not allowed. The Spokane River is hazardous in places, and should not be run without local knowledge. The Civilian Conservation Corps developed the park from 1933 to 1936. The area was a major gathering site for Native American cultures in prehistoric times. The park contains the oldest log structure in Spokane County.

Best Time To Visit: Riverside State Park is open during the summer from 6:30 to dusk. Winter hours are 8 a.m. to dusk. The park is open year-round for camping and day use.

Accessibility: Handicap accessibility is not provided.

Rules: Check-in time for the campsites starts at 2:30 p.m. Check-out time is 1 p.m. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Directions: To reach Riverside State Park from Spokane start out going north on N Lincoln St toward W Main Ave. for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto W Main Ave. for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto W Spokane Falls Blvd. for 0.1 miles. Turn slight right onto W Riverside Ave. for 0.3 miles. Turn right to stay on W Riverside Ave. for 0.1 miles. Merge onto Maple Street Bridge for 0.6 miles. Stay straight to go onto N Maple St. for 3.4 miles. Turn left onto WA-291. Continue to follow WA-291 for 4.1 miles. Turn left onto W Lowell Ave. Continue to follow N Seven Mile Rd. for 1.4 miles. Warning: There are .14 miles between your ending location and the end of your driving directions. Use maps to get from your ending location to the end of your route. End at Riverside State Park.
