Rasar State Park is a 169-acre camping park with 4,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Skagit River. Wildlife observation opportunities, especially for eagle watching, are excellent, particularly in early fall and early winter. The primary park activities are picnicking, hiking, and camping. The Rasar Family generously donated 128 acres of the park to State Parks in 1986. The 40 adjacent acres (north of Cape Horn road) were acquired in 1990 from Washington State Department of Natural Resources.


Facilities: Rasar State Park provides restrooms and campsites.

Best Time To Visit: Rasar State Park is open during the summer from 8 a.m. to dusk. Winter hours are 8 a.m. to dusk.The park is open year-round for camping and day use. Some campsites are closed in winter.

Fees: Campsite fees are charged.

Accessibility: Handicap accessibility is provided.

Rules: Check-in time for the campsites starts at 2:30 p.m. Check-out time is 1 p.m. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Directions: To reach Rasar State Park from Bellingham start out going northeast on J St toward Ellsworth St. for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Ellsworth St. for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto C St. for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Halleck St. for 0.2 miles. Halleck St becomes Ohio St. for 0.5 miles. Merge onto I-5 S. for 22.4 miles. Take the WA-11 N exit- 231 toward Burlington for 0.2 miles. Turn right onto WA-11. Continue to follow Chuckanut Dr. for 0.1 miles. Chuckanut Dr becomes N Burlington Blvd. for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto WA-20. Continue to follow WA-20 for 27.8 miles. Turn right onto Concrete Sauk Valley Rd. for 1.0 miles. Turn right onto S Skagit Hwy. for 5.8 miles. Turn left for 0.5 miles.End at Rasar State Park.
