Old Stage Trail #1 is a remaining segment of the first state highway in Washington. This trail is also the only wagon trail in the forest trail system. This trail is 5.3 miles long with elevations ranging from 3914 to 6050 feet and is considered to be difficult.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Old Stage Trail #1.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Old Stage Trail #1.

Best Time To Visit: Old Stage Trail #1 is open year round.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Do not litter.

Directions: To reach Old Stage Trail #1 from Colville, start out going west on WA-20 toward US-395 for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto US-395 and continue to follow for 12.2 miles. Turn left onto WA-20 for 39.9 miles. From Republic follow state Route 21 to county road 546. Follow road 546 to Forest Service road 2156 and continue for 5 miles to the trailhead.
