Everett State Park covers 17 acres with 1,500 feet of saltwater shoreline on Puget Sound. Marine facilities include a four-lane boat launch ramp and a grounding float. Swimming is not recommended because of the currents and drop-offs. There are a few clams on the park beach. The view of Puget Sound and Whidbey Island gives the park a large scenic value. Park amenities include a picnic area with 47 tables and 10 stoves, seven fire rings, a large comfort station with dressing rooms and a 239-space car and boat trailer combination parking lot. In addition, there is a Point Elliot Treaty sign display and environmental education displays within the park. Recreation attractions at the park include shore fishing, beachcombing, bird watching, kite flying and marine life observation. The low rolling hills and sheltered inland salt water that make up the Puget Sound basin produce a mild, marine climate characterized by wintertime clouds, rain, and sometimes a light snow, but lots of summertime sunshine. Maximum winter temperatures are in the mid- to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm with maximum and minimum temperatures in the mid 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 51 inches of precipitation per year.
