The proximity of Middle Fork Snoqualmie River to the Seattle metropolitan area gets a lot of recreational use. Despite this pressure, one can find sections of the river offering peace and solitude. Access these more remote channel sections of the river by avoiding access points where the road and river are parallel to each other. This is a rather wide river, so the use of chest or hip waders is recommended. The scenery contains portions of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area for your viewing pleasure.
