Kalama Horse Camp Campground

Kalama Horse Camp Campground is in Douglas firs with salal and huckleberries on the ground. Deer, bear, bobcat, elk, chipmunks, squirrels and birds are common in area. 10 miles to Cougar for supplies. Busy most weekends. Hiking and horse trails originate from the campground trailhead. Campground is open to horse camping only from April 1-Sept. 30. The rest of the year the camp may be used by non-horse users. There are a total of 19 sites with a maximum spur of 35 feet.
