Kachess Campground is set in a dense old-growth evergreen setting on Kachess Lake, surrounded by high mountains. Boat ramp located at the campground. Fish and swim in the lake. Supplies available at Cle Elum. Many animals can be seen in the area. Campers may gather firewood. A nature trail is within the campground. There are a total of 121 sites with a maximum spur of 99 feet.

Facilities: Kachess Campground provides restrooms, drinking water, a boat ramp, and a camp host.

Reservations: Reservations are accepted for Kachess Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Kachess Campground is open May through September.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The maximum stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach Kachess Campground from Yakima, start out going north on 1st Street for 1.5 miles. Enter on ramp to US-97 North for 0.3 miles. Continue on US-97 North for 30.3 miles. Exit on ramp to I-90 West for 1.4 miles. Continue on I-90 West for 25.5 miles. Exit onto off ramp at exit 84 to Oaks Avenue for 0.2 miles. Turn right onto Oaks Avenue for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto 1st Street West for less than 0.1 miles. From Cle Elum, go northwest on US HWY 90 approximately 18.5 miles to primary forest route 49. Go northeast on 49 approximately 4.5 miles.
