Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 is a 2.5 mile trail crosses the south fork of Deadman Creek then climbs the ridge above the creek. Views of the Kettle Range and the spectacular Hoodoo Canyon. The trail from the canyon ledge to Emerald Lake is steep and is recommended for experienced hikers. Elevation ranges from 2800 to 3100 feet.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17.

Best Time To Visit: Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 is open spring, summer, and fall.

Directions: To reach Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 from Colville, start out going west on WA-20 toward North Main Street for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto North Main Street and continue to follow for 8.4 miles. From Kettle Falls follow U.S. Highway 395 north for 10 miles to Deadman Creek Raod 9565. Travel west on road 9565 for ten miles to the meadow.
