Frog Lake Trail #659 is a short nature hike, climbing steadily up the side of the hill, with views of Clear Creek far below. The trail comes out at the road after 0.8 miles, but then makes a sharp turn back toward the lake. The trail continues on, passing through dense forest, eventually ending at the 1.5-acre Frog Lake. This trail is 1 mile in length and is considered to be more difficult.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Frog Lake Trail #659.

Best Time To Visit: Frog Lake Trail #659 is open summer through fall.

Directions: To reach Frog Lake Trail #659 from Everett, start by going southeast on Everett Speedway for 0.21 miles. Turn around onto WA-525 North for 0.9 miles. Continue onto Paine Field Boulevard for 0.9 miles. Continue onto 84th Street southwest for 0.3 miles. Continue onto WA-526 for 2.8 miles. Bear left on ramp to I-5 North for 1.4 miles. Continue on I-5 North for 18.6 miles. Bear right onto off-ramp at exit 208 to WA-530 for 0.2 miles. Turn right onto WA-530 for 31.4 miles. Turn right onto Madison Avenue for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Cascade Street for 0.2 miles. From the Darrington Ranger Station, take the Mountain Loop Highway along the west side of the Sauk River. Follow this road for approximately 4.0 miles. Parking is available on the right just before the Clear Creek bridge.
