East Creek Trail #756

East Creek Trail #756 winds down to a bridge over Granite Creek. The first mile climbs up through timber to a boulder field with a good view. The trail re-enters timber and ascends the East Creek drainage, entering meadow areas south of MeBee Pass. The trail is mostly in timber and offers few outstanding views until near the pass. Above the pass is the site of an old fire lookout and there are beautiful views down the Methow drainage and to the south of Mt. Hardy. The trail may be difficult to follow in places beyond the Gold Hill Mine. This is, however, a seldom used trail and if one is looking for solitude, this is a place to find it. There are camps located near the first ford of East Creek near the mine and in the meadows just below the pass. The first ford of East Creek can be very difficult during periods of high water. Travelers should use caution. This trail is 8 miles long.
