Coal Lake is a vehicle accessible high elevation lake that is worth the trip just to view the typical North Cascade lake in an alpine setting. The road up to the lake offers grand views of the entire Upper South Fork Stillaguamish River basin. This small lake with its easy access lends itself to fishing with a small inflatable raft. Fishing is accessible for Cutthroat trout and brook trout.
