 | | Children's Museum of Skagit County is a place where families can come to play, explore and learn, in an unusual and exciting "interactive" environment.There are eight main areas in the museum: The Transportation area (a real Semi-Cab from Freightliner), with a play Truck Stop Diner attached, "Lights, Shadow, Action" science exploration zone, an Art Studio featuring a variety of creative activities, a farm theme Toddler Play Station, Drama area complete with costumes, props and ticket booth, a Reading/Quiet area, and a Natural Habitat (Tree House, Mountaintop and Sand Play). There is also a separate Birthday Party Room with chalkboard walls.Children's Museum of Skagit County is a place to cultivate a child's curiosity, confidence and communication skills, a place where children's voices are heard and valued. The museum will be a place for children to explore technology skills. There will be a computer kiosk attached and relating to each exhibit. |
