Bonaparte Trail #306 has two trail starts. The first is along road 33-300 just before you cross Myers Creek. Walk up FS Road 33-300 just across the creek and access the trail. The trail follows the creek off and on for about 1 mile, then ties back onto FS Road 33-300. At this point is the second trail start. From here the trail heads south through and along an old logging unit to the ridge. About 1 mile up the trail you come to the junction with the Southside Trail 308 and a short trail to the lookout spring. The trail breaks out of the trees at the top into subalpine terrain. The length of the trail is 4.5 miles. Visitors can hike, horseback ride, and ride off road vehicles on this trail.
