Burnt Cabin Trail #3226 provides access to hunting, fishing, camping, and backpacking. The trail is open to hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers and motorcyclists. Users can expect heavy motorcycle use on weekends during the spring and summer season. After the first snow and during elk hunting season, users can expect heavy horse traffic. This trail is the main link from the Walla Walla River drainage to the Tollgate area. Target Meadows Campgrounds is 0.6 miles from the trailhead. This trail is between 2580 feet and 4840 feet, is 3.3 miles long, and is considered to be most difficult.

Directions: To reach Burnt Cabin Trail #3226 from Walla Walla, start out going southwest on West Alder Street toward South 5th Avenue for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto WA-125 and continue to follow for 5.2 miles. WA-125 South. WA-125 South becomes OR-11 for 4.6 miles. Keep left at the fork to continue on OR-11 for 7.1 miles. Take the OR-204 South ramp toward Weston for less than 0.1 miles. Stay straight to go onto York Road for 0.8 miles. Stay straight to go onto Williamson Road for 0.4 miles. Williamson Road becomes North Water Street for 0.4 miles. From Weston, travel 20 miles on State Highway 204 to Forest Service Road 64 junction at Tollgate. Turn left and travel past the Guard Station; turn left onto road 6401 (Target Meadows Road) which is 1/2 mile from the highway. Follow Road 6401 to the road 050 junction. Turn right and travel to the Target Meadows Campground. Follow the left fork in the 050 road to the trailhead.
