Vernal is located in Eastern Utah in the Uintah Basin. About 40 miles north of Vernal is Flaming Gorge which is known for its fishing and beautiful scenery. It's also a great place to play in the water. Not only is there boating, water skiing, and parasailing, but there is also river rafting available below the dam.

Also located near Vernal is the Dinosaur National Monument. Dinosaur National Monument has the largest single collection of dinosaur bones in the world as well as a number of other wonderful canyons for hiking, rafting, and more.
Vernal is on the edges of the Ashley National Forest and is just minutes away from Steinaker State Park and Red Fleet State Park. Come to Vernal and see some of the best that Utah has to offer!
