Aztec Butte Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy trail gains 225 feet in elevation. This 2 mile trail receives heavy use and takes about 1.5 hours to complete.

Canyonlands National Park - Hiking In National Parks
Canyonlands National Park preserves a colorful landscape of sedimentary sandstones eroded into countless canyons, mesas and buttes by the Colorado River and its tributaries. The Colorado and Green rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. While the districts share a primitive desert atmosphere, each retains its own character and offers different opportunities for exploration and learning.

Chesler Park Loop Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this 5.9 mile trail gains 680 feet in elevation. It receives moderate use. There are six backcountry camping sites along this easy trail.

Elephant Canyon/Druid Arch Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this 3.3 mile trail receives moderate use. This easy trail gains a total of 500 feet in elevation. There are two primitive campsites along the trail.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area - Hiking In National Recreation Areas
With Lake Powell as the main attraction of this area there is unparalleled opportunities for water-based and backcountry recreation. The recreation area stretches for hundreds of miles from Lees Ferry in Arizona to the Orange Cliffs of southern Utah, encompassing scenic vistas, geologic wonders, and a panorama of human history. The park offers opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, backcountry hiking and four-wheel drive trips.

Grand View Point Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this 2 mile trail takes about 1 hour to complete. This easy trail receives heavy use and gains about 50 feet in elevation.

Hovenweep National Monument - Hiking In National Parks
Hovenweep National Monument protects five prehistoric, Puebloan-era villages spread over a twenty-mile expanse of mesa tops and canyons along the Utah-Colorado border.

Lathrop Canyon Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this difficult trail gains 2,130 feet in elevation. This 17 mile trail receives moderate use.

Lost Canyon Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy trail gains a total of 320 feet in elevation. This 3.3 mile trail receives moderate use.

Mesa Arch Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy 0.5 mile trail gains less than 100 feet in elevation. It receives heavy use and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Murphy Loop Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this difficult trail receives moderate use. The 9 miles trail gains a total of 1,400 feet in elevation.

Murphy Point Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy 2.6 mile trail receives moderate use. There is a total of 160 feet gained in elevation.

Natural Bridges National Monument - Hiking In National Monuments
This area protects some of the finest examples of ancient stone architecture in the southwest. Located on a tree-covered mesa cut by deep sandstone canyons, three natural bridges formed where meandering streams eroded the canyon walls. The bridges are named Kachina, Owachomo and Sipapu.

Peekaboo Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy trail receives moderate use. The 3.9 mile trail gains 420 feet in elevation. The eastern end of this route is accessible from Salt Creek Road and used by four-wheel drivers.

Squaw Canyon Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this easy trail gains 420 feet in elevation. The 5.8 mile trail receives moderate use and connects with four other trails.

Syncline Loop Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this trail gains 1,520 feet in elevation and receives moderate use. This is a difficult eight mile trail with primitive camping available.

Upheaval Dome Overlook Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this 2 mile trail gains less than 100 feet in elevation. This is and easy trail that receives heavy use. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the hike.

Whale Rock Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Canyonlands National Park this one mile trail receives heavy use. This easy trail gains 100 feet in elevation and takes about 1 hour to complete.
