Bryce Canyon National Park - Hiking In National Parks
At Bryce Canyon National Park, erosion has shaped colorful Claron limestones, sandstones, and mudstones into thousands of spires, fins, pinnacles, and mazes. Collectively called "hoodoos," these colorful and whimsical formations stand in horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters along the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in Southern Utah.

Fairyland Loop Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, this difficult 8 mile trail receives moderate use. It gains a total of 1,000 feet in elevation and takes about 5 hours to complete.

Lower Muley Twist Canyon Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Located in Capitol Reef National Park, this 23.4 mile trail receives heavy use. This is a moderately difficult trail that gains 1,200 feet in elevation.

Navajo Loop Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, this trail gains a total of 520 feet in elevation and receives heavy use. This moderate to difficult 1.5 mile trail takes about 2 hours to complete.

Peekaboo Loop Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, this trail ranges in length from 5.5 miles to 7 miles, depending on which path is followed. This difficult trail receives moderate use. Gaining 1,200 feet in elevation it takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete the hike.

Riggs Spring Loop Trail - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, this moderate to difficult trail gains a total of 1,650 feet in elevation. This 8-mile trail receives heavy use.

Under-the-Rim Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, this moderate to difficult trail gains a total of 1,500 feet. This 23-mile trail receives heavy use and takes about 2 days to complete.

Upper Muley Twist Canyon Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Located in Capitol Reef National Park, this moderately difficult 15 mile trail gains a total of 700 feet in elevation. The trail receives moderate use.
