| Facilities: Alta Ski Area has several private businesses on site providing lodging and dining.A ski shop is also available along with eight restaurants including; the Albion Grill, Alta Java, Alta Lodge, Rustler Lodge, Shallow Shaft, Snowpine Lodge and the Kickstand Cafe. Best Time To Visit: Alta Ski Area's season is usually from late November, to mid-April. The mountain is open from 9:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees: Use fees are charged. Additional fees may be incurred for lodging, rental childcare, and facilities. Accessibility: Persons with limited mobility should contact Alta Ski Area for details. Rules: To ensure a good time, please follow the skier's code. Snowboarding is not permitted.Obey all posted signs and warnings.Directions: To reach the Alta Ski Area from Salt Lake City, take UT-270 to 500 south and make a right. Continue west to I-15. Merge onto I-15 south toward Las Vegas and drive about 8.3 miles to the I-215 exit 302. Get on the I-215 using the exit on the left. Continue about 5.2 miles to the 6200 south exit 6. Follow the ramp toward Snowbird, Alta. Turn right onto UT-190 east and drive about 1.6 miles. Stay straight to Wasatch Boulevard and continue to follow UT-210, veering right at the LaCalle light, 11.8 miles to Alta Ski Area at Highway 210 Little Cottonwood Canyon.
