 Hiking
Peekaboo Loop Trail

Located within Bryce Canyon National Park, Peekaboo Loop Trail extends three and a half miles through the hoodoos of the southern head of Bryce Canyon. The trailhead from which the hike begins determines the length of the trek. Beginning from Sunrise Point hikers use the Queen's Garden Trail making it approximately seven miles round trip. Individuals leaving the Sunset Point Trailhead have a five and a half mile hike via Navajo Loop Trail. Beginning this trek from Bryce Point makes the trek a six and a half mile loop.
From all of these trailheads along the rim, the route descends into Bryce Canyon (farther north in the drainage if descending from Sunrise and Sunset Points). Once in the canyon the loop ascends over a ridge between two washes. If hiking southward from Sunset and Sunrise Points midway through the loop hikers will reach the trail that leads north from Bryce Point. If hiking northward from Bryce Point, midway through Peekaboo Loop hikers will reach the trail descending from Sunrise and Sunset Points. These two trail junctions lie at approximately 7,570 feet. From this point the loop ascends through the hoodoos, reaching a high point of 7,860 feet. This difficult trail receives moderate use. Gaining 1,200 feet in elevation it takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete the hike.
