Broken Arch Trail

Located within Arches National Park, Broken Arch Trail can be accessed from Sand Dune Arch parking area or Devils Garden campground. If beginning at the campground, hikers will find the trailhead across from campsite number 40. If beginning from Sand Dune Arch parking area follow the trail to Sand Dune Arch. It then turns northward entering a canyon area secluded by large sandstone fins. Hike northward to a fork in the trail. This is the beginning and end of the Broken Arch loop. Turn right to reach Broken Arch. For a longer hike continue following the loop through the campground and back to the starting point. This easy trail gains 50 feet in elevation and receives heavy use. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes to complete this 2-mile trail.

Facilities: Devils Garden Campground is located near Broken Arch Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Broken Arch Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Early spring is the best time to hike Broken Arch Trail.

Fees: A fee is charged to enter the park.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Stay on the designated trail.

Directions: Broken Arch Trail is located within Arches National Park. The entrance to Arches is located 5 miles north of Moab along Highway 191. From the Main Park Entrance, drive northward 18 miles to the Devils Campground access road. Turn right into the campground. The trailhead lies on the southernmost point of the campground road near site number 40.
