Whiting Campground is a quiet, shady campground. It is nestled in a dense grove of cottonwood and maple trees along drainage with spring runoff. Wildlife includes infrequent bears, mountain lions, and coyotes; as well as deer, elk, hawks, and eagles. Horse facilities are provided. Whiting Campground has a campground host.


Facilities: Whiting Campground provides restrooms and drinking water.

Best Time To Visit: Whiting Campground is open May through October.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is handicap accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach Whiting Campground from Provo, follow Highway 89 south for 7.7 mile. Turn left onto West Maple Street and follow it to Mapleton. The campground is located 3 miles east of Mapleton on Forest Route 025.
