| Facilities: Toilets and a paved parking lot are located at the White Pine Trail trailhead. Best Time To Visit: Summer and fall is the best time to visit White Pine Trail. Fees: No fees are charged to visit the trail. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: There are many mines along the White Pine Trail, but the State of Utah recommends that you do not enter them for your safety. Campfires are not allowed within the Red Pine Fork and Maybird Gulch drainages in the Lone Peak Wilderness area. Bikes, horses, and motorized vehicles are prohibited. Directions: To reach White Pine Trail from Salt Lake City, take Little Cottonwood Canyon Road (9400 South Wasatch Blvd) about 5.3 miles up the canyon to the White Pine Trailhead parking lot.
