| The Telephone Hollow, Quarry and Sink Hollow trails each involve varied terrain ranging from flat to moderate, with up and downhill pitches. These trails offer a variety of routes as they can be either skied separately or as a series of loops. Each possible loop route is marked with directional arrows and mileage at each junction.Telephone Hollow This is an excellent beginner's trail if skied as an out-and-back route. There are two crossing trails, which create loops with the Quarry trail. Each loop is suitable for beginners, though they involve more downhill pitches and more difficult terrain.Quarry This trail is suitable for beginners to intermediate skiers. There are two crossing trails, which create loops with the Telephone Hollow trail. Although each loop is suitable for beginners, they involve more uphill pitches and more difficult terrain. The Quarry trail also serves as the access to Sink Hollow trail.Sink Hollow This trail is accessed from the Quarry trail and is suitable for beginners in the first mile, but the loop portion of the trail presents more difficult terrain and is suitable for more experienced skiers. Although some terrain is suitable for beginners, a complete trip from the Quarry trailhead through the Sink Hollow Loop and back is ten miles, making it more appropriate for advanced skiers. |
