Sunset Peak Trail cuts south off of the Lake Mary Trail and ends on the ridge area just east of Point Supreme. The trail is steep, but offers panoramic views of Albion Basin and the Brighton Lakes.


Facilities: There are no facilities available at Sunset Peak Trail.

Rules: Bikes, horses, and motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Directions: To reach Sunset Peak Trail from Salt Lake City, take Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (7000 South Wasatch Blvd) up to Brighton, via Lake Mary Trail from the Brighton Trailhead. Follow the Lake Mary Trail to Catherine's Pass (3 miles) trail where it branches off to the Great Western Trail.
