Stansbury Front Trail parallels the Deseret Peak Wilderness boundary. The trail is still incomplete in sections, but travel is still possible. This route has been maintained as a primitive trail. This moderately difficult 25 mile trail gains 1,140 feet in elevation and receives moderate use. It takes about 8 hours to complete the trail one way.

Best Time To Visit: Late spring, summer, and fall is the best time to visit Stansbury Front Trail.

Directions: To reach Stansbury Front Trail from Salt Lake City, head west on I-80 and exit at the Stansbury-Tooele exit. Follow the signs to Grantsville. From Grantsville, drive west out of town along the main route toward I-80. Take the second gravel route on left and follow it west to the West Canyon trailhead. From here either follow the West Canyon Trail or the Pagpie Canyon Trail.
