Payson Lakes Campground is set in fir and aspen with views of Mount Nebo. Campers may fish for rainbow trout in the adjacent Payson Lakes. There are infrequent bears, mountain lions, and coyotes; as well as deer, elk, hawks, and eagles. There is a trailhead nearby that leads to Blackhawk Campground. Payson Lakes Campground has a campground host.
