Mount Olympus Trail

The Mount Olympus trailhead is located just north of where Tolcats Canyon Stream crosses Wasatch Blvd. This trail offers the choice between a steeper, more challenging route, and the more gradual ascent by the use of a series of shortcuts made by hikers over the years. The Mount Olympus Trail offers panoramic views of Salt Lake Valley and much of the Wasatch Range from Lone Peak on the south to Francis Peak on the north. It also contains a section know to beginners as "Blister Hill".
This difficult 3.5 mile trail gains 4,158 feet in elevation and receives frequent use. It takes about 4 hours to complete the trail one way.

Facilities: No facilities are provided at Mount Olympus Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Mount Olympus Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Late spring, summer, and fall is the best time to visit Mount Olympus Trail.

Fees: No fees are charged to visit the trail.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Bikes, horses, and motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Directions: The Mount Olympus Trail trailhead is located at 5800 South and Wasatch Boulevard.
