Rules: There are mines along the Mineral Fork Trail, but the State of Utah recommends that you do not enter them and use caution around the debris for your safety. Directions: To reach Mineral Fork Trail from Salt Lake City, take Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (7000 South Wasatch Blvd) about 6.1 miles up the canyon to Mineral Fork Canyon. The trail begins on the south side of the highway where Big Cottonwood Canyon Road and the Mineral Fork road meet.
