Lower Provo River Campground

Lower Provo River Campground sits in a grove of ponderosa pine and douglas fir. Campers enjoy fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout in the nearby Lower Provo River. There are deer, moose, black bears, and mountain lions in the area. There is no firewood available in this area; campers are advised to bring their own. Lower Provo River Campground has a campground host.

Best Time To Visit: Lower Provo River Campground is open May through October. It is busy on weekends and holidays.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach Lower Provo River Campground from Heber City, follow Highway 40 north for 3.7 miles to Highway 32. Turn right onto Highway 32 and drive for 10.3 turn right, staying on Highway 32 for 2.2 more miles to Kamas. From Kamas go east for 11 miles on Highway 150 to Forest Route 053. Go south on 053 for 1 mile to the campground.
