Lake Solitude Trail starts off of the Silver Lake Loop Trail. Follow the boarded walkway (behind the Visitor's Center) to the right. Follow the path about 1/4 mile. The trail will fork with one path continuing around Silver Lake and the other heading straight. Take the straight path until you reach another junction. If you go left, you will be on the Twin Lakes Trail. Continue straight for the Lake Solitude Trail. Signs are posted for the trails.
This easy 1.5 mile trail gains 290 feet in elevation and receives heavy use. It takes about 1 hour to complete the trail one way.
