Kays Creek Trail offers panoramic views of Salt Lake Valley and the Great Salt Lake. The trail climbs 3,500 feet in 3.25 miles with no switchbacks. It is a steep, eroded, gullied trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Kays Creek Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Kays Creek Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Late spring, summer, and fall is the best time to visit Kays Creek Trail.

Fees: No fees are charged to visit this trail.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Directions: To reach Kays Creek Trail head north on I-15 from Salt Lake City, then take exit 326 (US 89 North). Drive 6.7 miles and turn right onto Valley View Drive (Valley View is a diagonal road traveling in the same general direction as US 89). Drive 0.6 mile and turn right on Fernwood Road. Fernwood Road has several curves. Drive 1 mile to the picnic ground entrance at the end of the road. The trail starts north of Fernwood Picnic Area on Firebrick Road on the east side of the road.
