| Facilities: Fernwood Picnic Area provides vault toilets and water faucets. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Fernwood Picnic Area. Best Time To Visit: Fernwood Picnic Area is open late May through mid October (weather permitting). Fees: No fees are charged. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: No trash receptacles are provided, please pack out all trash. This is a day use only area. All dogs must be kept on a leash in the picnic sites. Fires are allowed in the fire rings only. Bring you own firewood. Directions: To reach Fernwood Picnic Area from Salt Lake City, drive north on I-15 and take exit 326 (US 89 North). Drive 6.7 miles and turn right onto Valley View Drive (Valley View is a diagonal road traveling in the same general direction as US 89). Drive 0.6 mile and turn right on Fernwood Road. Fernwood Road has several curves. Drive 1 mile to the picnic ground entrance at the end of the road. |
