Cottonwood Campground rests among mixed conifer. Wildlife in the area includes mountain lions, coyotes, deer, moose, raptors, and Uinta ground squirrels. There is no firewood available; campers are advised to bring their own.


Facilities: Cottonwood Campground provides restrooms.

Best Time To Visit: Cottonwood Campground is open May through October. It is busy on weekends and holidays.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 7 days. No pets allowed.

Directions: To reach Cottonwood Campground from Salt Lake City, follow I-80 west for 31.5 and take exit 88 towards Grantsville. Go straight and follow Burmester Road for 6.2 miles to Grantsville. From Grantsville go south on County Road 138 for 4.7 miles to Forest Route 171. Go southwest on 171 for 4 miles to the campground. This road is not recommended for trailers or RV's.
