Bear Canyon Campground is a walk-in campground. It rests in a creek canyon under cottonwoods. Campers may fish for rainbow trout in Salt Creek. Wildlife includes infrequent bears, mountain lions, and coyotes as well as deer, elk, hawks, and eagles. Bear Canyon Campground has a campground host.
This campground consists of 3 group sites.

Best Time To Visit: Bear Canyon Campground is open April through October. Busy on weekends and holidays.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach Bear Canyon Campground from Provo, follow Highway 89 north for 4.6 miles to Highway 132. Follow Highway 132 south for 30 miles to Nephi. From Nephi go east on Highway 132 for 6 miles to Forest Route 015. Go north on 015 of 7.5 miles to the campground.
