| Facilities: Balanced Rock Trail is within Arches National Park. Near the trailhead there is a picnic area and a pit toilet.The park offers restrooms, drinking water, and camping. The gift shop features books, maps and other publications. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Arches National Park or to hike Balanced Rock Trail. Best Time To Visit: Arches National Park and Balanced Rock Trail are open year-round. The visitor center is open daily from 8am to 4:30pm, with extended hours spring through fall. The visitor center is closed on December 25th. Fees: Entrance fees are charged. Fees are also charged for the Fiery Furnace walks and for camping. Accessibility: Visitors with mobility impairments can access the visitor center, restrooms throughout the park, Devils Garden Campground site #37, the Park Avenue Viewpoint and the Delicate Arch Viewpoint. For visitors with hearing impairments, a variety of publications may be obtained at the Visitor Center. Wayside exhibits with illustrations and text on natural and cultural features are situated throughout the Park and in the visitor center.Rules: Pets may not accompany groups in the backcountry. Park in designated areas only. Directions: Balanced Rock Trail is in Arches National Park. The Arches Visitor Center is located along Highway 191, 5 miles north of Moab. The trailhead is approximately 9.2 miles from the park entrance. |
