Baer Creek Trail

Baer Creek Trail is maintained as a primitive route and in some areas is very difficult to follow as it climbs the ridge. This difficult 4 mile trail gains 4,200 feet and receives infrequent use. It takes about 2 hours to complete the trail one way.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Baer Creek Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Baer Creek Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Spring, summer and fall are the best times to visit Baer Creek Trail.

Fees: No fees are charged to visit this trail.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The trailhead closes at 10:00pm. Motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Directions: To reach Baer Creek Trail from Salt Lake City, travel north on Highway 89 to Fruit Heights. Then go right (east) at Mountain Road and make another right at East Oaks Drive. Go to 1800 east and turn left, go to the end of the road. The trailhead is located on the west side of the large Fruit Heights water tank.
