Altamont Campground is set in aspen and fir on a stream. There are views of Mount Timpanogos. Campers can fish on Tibble Fork Reservoir. This campground only has one group site with a 100 person and 25 vehicle capacities. Keys for Altamont Campground must be picked up from the host at Timpooneke Campground.


Facilities: Altamont Campground provides restrooms and drinking water.

Best Time To Visit: Altamont Campground is open June through October.

Fees: A group camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is handicap accessible.

Rules: No motors are allowed on Tibble Fork Reservoir. Vehicles over 30 feet are not recommended.

Directions: To reach Altamont Campground from Provo, go north on I-15 17.2 miles to State Route 92. Go east 13 miles to junction with Forest Route 144. Stay right (straight) for 3 miles to the campground, located on the left.
