Bob Straub State Park - Bird Watching
This park is located in Pacific City and provides beach access, parking, and restrooms. It's a nice place to go for a walk on the beach and explore the Nestucca sand spit. The Nestucca River is legendary for 50 pound chinook salmon. Hiking trails are near the area. ATV's and four wheel drive vehicles are able to be driven on the sand dunes in the state park.

Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area - Bird Watching
This area is part of the Three Capes Scenic Route (along with Cape Meares and Cape Lookout). Kiwanda is the smallest of the three, but it's one of the best places to experience spectacular wave action. Pacific City is the home of the Pacific Dory Fleet.

Cape Lookout State Park - Wildlife Viewing In State Parks
This area is a popular campground and day use area. It gives visitors a terrific view of the ocean with easy access to the beach. There are trails throughout the area that equal an eight mile walking area. Facilities are available.

Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint - Bird Watching
This viewpoint is situated on a headland 200 feet above the ocean. Murres are the most common bird and this viewpoint provides adequate nesting grounds during migration. Tours of the lighthouse are available as well.

Clay Myers State Natural Area at Whalen Island - Wildlife Viewing In State Parks
This area is good for wildlife viewing. It is critically valuable habitat for adult salmon moving upstream to spawn for smolt leaving the inland fresh waters for their marine journey. No facilities are provided.

Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site - Wildlife Viewing In National Recreation Areas
This site is a short walk from the parking area. Picnic areas are available. Deep sea fishing off of Manhattan Beach has been known to reward its fishermen with giant swordfish. Swimming, surfing, wind surfing, and jet skiing are popular activities as well. A few whale watching opportunities are available during certain migration months of the year.

Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site - Wildlife Viewing In National Recreation Areas
This area is a long beach and Cascade headland that is known as some of the most pristine Oceanside land in Oregon. In the town of Neskowin, visitors find a general store, restaurant and two golf courses amid the posh cottages. A bit north, they can canoe and kayak on the relatively undeveloped estuary of Nestucca Bay.

Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site - Bird Watching
is located in the center of the community of Oceanside, this park offers some of the best agate hunting during the winter season when the sand is stripped away by ocean currents. During the summer season, the park is a popular place to beach comb, explore tide pools and surf. The sky above the park is occasionally filled with colorful hang gliders, paragliders and kites.
