| | Illinois River Forks State Park | | Located at the confluence of the east and west forks of the Illinois River, the park offers picnic tables and restrooms. There is a short walking trail near the picnic area. The Illinois Valley is a unique geologic area with many rare plants. Raft trips are available on the wild and scenic Illinois River. Fishing and swimming also are popular on the river. The park is situated on 511 acres just south of Cave Junction. |

| | Valley of the Rogue State Park | | This park has both a day-use picnic area and an overnight campground along three miles of shoreline on the Rogue River. A meeting hall is available for groups. An easy, self-guided interpretive walking trail provides a relaxing 1.25 mile stroll along the river's edge. The wildlife is abundant here. Different species of mammals roam freely in this area. If camping, visitors are advised against leaving food out over night because black bears have been known to invade space looking for food. Boating on the Rogue River is popular as well. |
