Day Use Areas

Alderwood State Wayside
This area is a forested tract along Hwy 36 west of Junction City. There's a picnic area and short trail along the Long Tom River. Visitors often like to bring a lunch and relax! Fishing is permitted in the river. The footbridge was severely damaged in February, and remains inaccessible. Facilities are available as well.

Clear Lake Day Use Area
This day use area is in a wooded area near Clear Lake and has 12 day use sites.

Cline Clark Picnic Area
This picnic area is in a wooded area near a reservoir and has 3 picnic sites.

CT Beach Picnic Area
This picnic area is in a wooded area near a reservoir and has 6 picnic sites.

Dexter State Recreation Site
This area is dotted with boats during the spring and summer months. Dexter State Recreation Site, on the western edge of Dexter Reservoir, not only has a large parking area and convenient access to the reservoir, but visitors can reach nearby Elijah Bristow State Park through a system of connecting trails. Visitors like to fish on the nearby reservoir as well.

Echo Day Use Area
This day use area is in a wooded area near Cougar Reservoir and has 7 day use sites.

Islet Day Use Area
This days use area is in a wooded area near Waldo Lake and has 4 day use sites.

Lookout Boat Launch
This day use area is in a wooded area near a reservoir and has 25 day use sites.

North Waldo Day Use Area
This area is in a wooded area near Waldo Lake and has 7 day use sites..

Packard Creek Day Use Area
This day use area is near Hills Creek Reservoir and has 4 day use sites.

Saddle Dam Boat Launch
This boat launch is in a wooded area near a reservoir.

Washburne State Wayside
The wayside rests on the border between Lane and Benton Counties. This wayside makes a great picnic spot, especially if guests have decided to travel through the Willamette Valley along Hwy 99W instead of the interstate. This is a well-shaded park thanks to the Douglas fir trees. Wildlife watching and bird viewing are very entertaining. A walking trail stretches deep into the forest. It is an easy trail for all ages to hike. Guests are welcome to travel back into the woods and set up a camp site.
