Ski Anthony Lakes has the highest base elevation in Oregon with 7,100 ft. In the early 1930's, skiers began enjoying the Anthony Lakes area with it's glacially sculpted peaks, and champagne powder.
Today, Ski Anthony Lakes is still popular for it's light dry snow. Purists will find an unspoiled vertical playground here at eight thousand feet.

Ski Anthony Lakes has developed one the finest Nordic trail systems in the Northwest. Trail expansions have brought the classic and skate groomed system to 40 km. The trail system accesses the incredibly scenic Anthony Lake Basin and Elkhorn range of the Blue Mountains, and it is maintained by state of the art grooming equipment.


Facilities: The Nordic Center at Ski Anthony Lakes has snacks and restrooms available.

Best Time To Visit: Ski Anthony Lakes is usually open from mid-November to mid-April, depending on snow. Call ahead for snow conditions.

Fees: A use fee is charged. Additional fees may be incurred for lessons, equipment rental, and permits.

Accessibility: Persons with limited mobility should call Ski Anthony Lakes for details.

Rules: 

Guidelines for the Ski Anthony Lakes area:
  • You must not stop where you obstruct a trail. Look uphill and yield to others.
  • Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
  • Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people and objects.

Directions: To reach Ski Anthony Lakes from Baker City, take I-84 north to Exit 285. Follow the signs to the ski area at 47500 Anthony Lake Highway.

Reservations: Ski Anthony Lakes does not require or accept reservations, however, for lessons, sign up must be completed at least 45 minutes in advance.
