Yachats State Recreation Area

Yachats State Recreation Area lies within the heart of Yachats. Turn west on 2nd Street. The road makes a small loop, offering a serene view of the Yachats River as it meets the Pacific Ocean. Park and see the wild waves and gray whale migration. Rock, salmon fishing, and tide pools bring people back to this park again and again. The area provides plenty of resting benches and picnic tables. Easy beach access is provided. A small trail extends from the view so that visitors may go down to the water and have a good time. Water activities such as surfing, wind surfing, boogie boarding, wake boarding, jet skiing, water skiing, and boating are interesting activities to be involved with here.
